A szitanyomásról
Rövid ismertető a szitanyomás folyamatáról
A szitázás előtt elkészítem a mintát: vagy átlátszó fóliára rajzolom, vagy arra nyomtatom ki fekete színnel. Más eljárások is vannak, de én többnyire ezt használom. A szitát vékonyan be kell vonni egy fényérzékeny anyaggal, majd miután megszáradt, ráhelyezve a fóliát, kellő ideig meg kell világítani. A fényérzékeny anyag teljesen megszilárdul és vízállóvá válik ott, ahol a fény érte. A feketével rajzolt minta kitakarja a fényt, ezért ott nem szilárdul meg az anyag és le lehet mosni. Itt préselődik át a festék a textil szálai közé, amit hőpréssel fixálok, így a kész póló kifordítva, maximum 40 ºC-ig mosógépben is mosható.
About screenprinting
Brief description of the screenprinting process
I make the pattern before the screenprinting: either I draw it on transparent film or print it on foil in black. There are other methods, but I mostly use this one. The screen is coated thinly with a light-sensitive material, and after it has dried, the foil is placed on top and switch on the light for a sufficient period of time. The light-sensitive material will completely solidify and become waterproof where the light hits it. The pattern drawn in black blocks out the light, so the material does not solidify there and can be washed off. This is where the dye is pressed into the fibres of the fabric, which is then heat pressed to fix the dye, so that the finished T-shirt can be machine washed up to 40ºC.

Saját minták / My own designs
Legjobban a saját rajzaim, grafikáim alapján készült minták szitázását szeretem, melyek többnyire vagy Természet ihlette mintázatok, vagy a képzeletbeli, különös Világom lényei, tárgyai, tájai, amik sok rajzom meghatározó elemei. Sok rajz vár még papíron, fólián, de sok újat is rajzolok, időnként kifejezetten szitázáshoz. Türelmesen várnak, a múló idő jót tesz nekik, közben érnek, fejlődnek, az ötletből terv lesz, a rajzból minta, abból pedig hamarosan póló.
What I like most is screenprinting patterns based on my own drawings and graphics, which are mostly either Nature-inspired patterns, or entities, creatures, objects, landscapes from my imaginary strange world, which are the defining elements of many of my drawings. I have many drawings waiting on paper and foil, but I also draw many new ones, sometimes specifically for screenprinting. They wait patiently, the passing time is good for them, they mature and develop, the idea becomes a plan, the drawing becomes a design, and soon a T-shirt.

Kollab, azaz együttműködés, közös alkotás létrehozása más művészekkel.
A közös alkotás mindig nagyon különleges dolog. Ilyenkor ablak nyílik egymás Világaira és kapcsolódnak az energiák.
Így készült el az ‘Erdők mélyén’ limitált kiadású design, Heim Roland versét egy növénykerettel, valamint két saját mintámat szitáztam pólókra a Költészet Napja alkalmából.
Németh Dóra grafikus ‘Hyper-Focus’ grafikája is így került pólókra a Neurodiverzitás Világnapján szervezett rendezvényen.

Collaboration is always a very special thing. It’s a window into each other’s worlds and a connection of energies.
This is how we created the limited edition design ‘Deep in the Forests’ for Hungarian Poetry Day, I screenprinted a poem by Roland Heim with a plant pattern frame and two of my own designs on T-shirts.
This is how graphic designer Dóra Németh’s ‘Hyper-Focus’ artwork was put on T-shirts at the event organised on World Neurodiversity Day.

Mörcs, megrendelés / Merch, order
A mörcs (merch) kereskedelmi terméket jelent, általában egy cég, vagy esemény arculati elemeinek megjelenítése, sokszorosítása. Történhet pólóra, táskára, vagy bármilyen más anyagra.
A ‘Nyüzsi’ egy összművészeti minifesztivál, ahová meghívtak, hogy szabadtéri szitaworkshopot tartsak, valamint a szervező csapat tagjainak ‘crew’ pólót készítsek.
Saját grafikájuk alapján készítettem pólókat a ‘Selva’ márkának, ami egy minőségi, befutott márka.

Merch means a branded product, usually a representation and reproduction of a company’s or event’s branding elements. It can be printed on a T-shirt, bag, or any other material.
The ‘Nyüzsi’ (means Bustle) is an all-arts mini-festival, where I was invited to give an outdoor screenprinting workshop and make crew t-shirts for the organising team.
I have made T-shirts with their own graphic for ‘Selva_Be Visionary’, which is a quality, well-known brand.

Vásár / Market
Első sorban a Tribal Market elnevezésű vásárokon találkozhatunk, ez a kedvenc vásárom, nagyon jó hangulata van mindig, dj-kkel, sok tehetséges művésszel, szép kézműves termékekkel, kedves emberekkel. De tervben van sok más lehetőség is, remélem egyre gyakrabban találkozhatunk különböző vásárokban, fesztiválokon.
You can find me mostly at the Tribal Markets, this is is my favorite fair, it has very good vibes with DJs, lots of talented artists, beautiful handicrafts and nice people. Many other opportunities are planned, so I hope to see you more and more often in different markets and festivals.
A fehérítős mintázásról
Rövid ismertető a fehérítés folyamatáról
A fehérítővel való mintázásnál is sok játékra van lehetőség, a stencilek sorrendje, a hígítás mértéke, a pólók alapszíne, anyaguk vastagsága és az, hogy mennyi ideig marad a textilen a fehérítő, mind befolyásolják a végeredményt. A szitanyomástól eltérően, itt nem hozzáadjuk a festéket, hanem a klór maró hatása miatt kivesszük a textil alapszínét ott, ahol a stencil nem takar. Készítettem fóliákat, amikből közel 500 db foltot vágtam ki kézzel. Ezeken kívül maszkolásnak használok különféle dekor és design anyagokat, de igazi növényeket, ágakat is. Az eljárás is nagyon izgalmas, mert miután a fehérítő rákerül a pólóra és leveszem a stencileket, várni kell egy kicsit, hogy a minta előtűnjön, pont mint régen, amikor a fotóimat laboráltam a sötétszobában. A levegőbe jutó klór részecskék nagyon ártalmasak az egészségre, ezért légzésvédelmi maszkot használok speciális szűrővel.
About bleaching
Brief description of the bleaching process
There are many possibilities when using bleach for patterning: the order of the stencils, the degree of dilution, the base color of the T-shirts, the thickness of the fabric, and how long the bleach remains on the fabric all influence the final result. Unlike screenprinting, we don’t add paint here, but use the corrosive effect of chlorine to remove the base color of the fabric where the stencil doesn’t cover it. I made foil stencils, from which I cut out nearly 500 spots by hand. In addition to these, I use various decor and design materials for masking, as well as real plants and branches. The process is also very exciting because after the bleach is applied to the T-shirt and I remove the stencils, I have to wait a little while for the pattern to appear, just like in the old days when I developed my photos in the darkroom. Chlorine particles in the air are very harmful to health, so I use a respirator mask with a special filter.
